Director of Corporate Tax
Reporting to the Senior Director, Tax this role participate in all facets of the income tax function and will play a critical role by managing key aspects of the function including leadership of the income tax provision and corporate tax planning and compliance processes. The individual will ensure accurate and timely preparation of ASC 740 work papers for the Tax group.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the income tax and franchise tax compliance for North American jurisdictions. Compliance includes, but is not limited to, the federal and state consolidated returns and work papers, separate state tax returns and work papers, and quarterly estimated payments. Coordinate taxable income calculations for specific companies within our portfolio group.
Work with the Senior Director, Tax to build on the income tax provision process. Prepare/review supporting work papers for the quarterly and annual tax provision including book-tax differences and tax footnote
disclosures. Manage OneSource Tax Provision process.
Identify and communicate potential uncertain tax positions.
Manage state apportionment including analyzing state apportionment data and research state apportionment
rules to ensure compliance with state laws.
Coordinate federal and state income tax audits, prepare and review responses to audit inquiries and communicate
audit progression to management.
Research tax issues and communicate conclusions and recommendations to management through written technical memos.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement within the compliance and provision process,
especially with respect to utilization of technology.
Identify and pursue all feasible tax savings opportunities and minimize corporate tax liability for these taxes based
analysis of applicable substantial authority for positions.
Establish processes and internal controls. Manage SOX compliance for this functional area.
Assist the Senior Director, Tax in maintaining current relationships with external consultants as well as the
relationships with other finance teams with whom we collaborate.

Education / Experience
BS in finance or accounting required.
Master’s degree in taxation or CPA is a plus.
10+ years’ relevant corporate tax experience, in either a corporation and/or public accounting firm;
5+ years’ intensive experience in ASC 740 is required.
Experience with OneSource Returns and OneSource Provision is a plus.
