Responsible for assisting the Slitter Technician with materials and tools needed during production. Duties may include warehouse organization, inventory control, packaging of finished product and management of material in the shipping and receiving system. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem from time to time. Assist Technician to complete all finishing duties associated with production to ensure product conforms to customer specifications with minimal waste, rejects and loss of efficiencies. Practice safety through following all procedures and participate in all safety trainings and audits. Safely operate lift trucks and roll moving equipment to load, unload, stage and store materials. Management of material in shipping and receiving system to ensure accurate shipments and inventory levels. Demonstrate ability to properly lock out all areas of slitter and dangers associated with working around the blades. Use of production reporting system to ensure accuracy of data and labels. 5S and housekeeping on all slitters. Participate in continuous improvement projects. Expand knowledge on slitting lines (and other equipment) through experience. Be able to operate in a team environment through proper communication and assisting each other during all steps of operation. Other duties as assigned. Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to three months related experience and/or training. Ability to work various shifts. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Mathematical skills Standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, lift up to 50lbs Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
