Position Details:
Our client, a world leading Pharmaceutical Company in Lake Forest, IL is currently looking for a Packaging Engineer / Medical Device Containers to join their expanding team.

​ Duration: 12 month contract, Extendable up to 36 months

Job Description:
Role Description
This role will provide scientific expertise to drive technical transfers that will ensure supply of intravenous containers in the Pharmaceutical supply network.
The individual will be responsible for ensuring primary container designs meet functional and user requirements. The candidate will be responsible for conducting technical studies, writing reports, analyzing data, and reviewing technical documentation to ensure successful product tech transfers for the container systems.
The candidate will work within a team environment to solve problems and utilize best engineering practices and techniques for root cause and statistical analysis. This work entails defining container requirements, developing protocols, performing data analysis, and writing reports in compliance with corporate procedures.
The candidate will be responsible for working with team to resolve technical challenges and maintain project timeline.

Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise to qualification of primary intravenous container designs and materials at External supply partners
Author technical protocols, write reports, analyze data, and review technical documentation to ensure successful product tech transfers for the container systems.
Partner with Project team, External Suppliers, QA, and Procurement to complete technical assessment of container systems
Provide technical support to ensure timely resolution of any identified container issues to ensure a successful tech transfer
As necessary, conduct root cause analysis and derive recommendations based on analysis of data
Ensure component and product specifications requirements are appropriate to ensure product performance
Ensure integrity and compliance of data according to Standard Operating Procedures

Comments:
Technical writing needed, drive testing of containers, write reports, analyze testing data
team interactions, collaborate with other teams, good communication is needed
M-F, flexible hours
WebEx interviews
possibility to start remote but preference is to start onsite. waiting next steps due to COVID-19 and trying to not impact project timelines.
2-5 years experience, hit the ground running




Job Requirements:

Minimum Education:
BS (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Packaging Engineering or other related science/engineering is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years technical experience in Pharmaceutical primary container packaging is preferred. Device/Combination products or other pharmaceutical experience is acceptable.
